Rehan Sadiq

Dr. Sadiq is a Professor of Civil Engineering and currently holds an Executive Associate Dean position in the School of Engineering at UBC’s Okanagan Campus. For past 20 years, he has been one of the leading researcher in the development of decision support tools for environmental risk analysis and life cycle assessment applications. Currently, he has been involved in research related to asset management of water supply systems, life cycle assessment of built environment, and environmental decision making under uncertainty. Dr. Sadiq has led numerous projects funded by Water Research Foundation (USA), UK Water Industry Research, and Canadian agencies including NSERC, Health Canada, Canadian Water Network, BC Oil & Gas Commission, Cement Association of Canada and Infrastructure Canada. He is an author of more than 500 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles, book chapters and technical reports. The citations for his research work currently exceeds 11,000 in Google Scholar with the current h-index of 56. He has served/ chaired numerous international scientific committees and also served on the editorial board of numerous international journals in his field of research. He is a recipient of 2013 Researcher of the Year Award at UBC Okanagan Campus.
