Abhishek is a third-year Ph.D. student under the supervision of Dr. Jongho Lee in Civil Engineering (ESE group). Prior to his time at UBC, he completed his M.Sc degree from Yale University, in Chemical and Environmental Engineering. Abhishek is carrying out his research in the water-energy nexus, exploring the applicability of membrane systems for energy and resource harvesting from wastewater. He has been involved with the BCWWA student chapter since 2017, acting as the president for the student body in 2018-19, as well as chair of the WEST conference. He is a Vanier Scholar (2018) and an UNLEASH global talent, 2019.
